Sponsored by a local member of Therapy Dogs International, Tail Waggin’ Tutors will be at the Howard Lake Library on Saturday, March 14 from 10:30 to 12:00. This is an opportunity for younger students to “read” to an accredited dog and handler.

“Be Creative at Your Library” will be the 2009 Summer Reading Program theme. The program will run from June 8 through August 8. More information will be added here as it becomes available. You may also check with the Howard Lake Librarians.
What do the Cat in the Hat, the Lorax, Alice in Wonderland and Peter Rabbit have in common? They are all featured in a new and exciting magic show coming February 21, to Howard Lake. Lynn & Robert Halbrook (2008′s Chef Roberto) will present their new ‘kooky, crazy and just plain fun’ program to children aged 4 to 12, with families invited, too.
Gasp as oodles of fish appear, laugh as someone in the audience becomes the Cat in the Hat, thrill as Peter Cottontail literally climbs through the book pages and more!!!
